GOOGLE ACCOUNTS

Did you know that all AVHS students have a Google Apps Account? This includes online storage (Google Drive) and a cool school e-mail address (@students.avhsd.org). The standard Internet Use Agreement applies.

To access your Google Apps account, go to http://gapps.avhsd.org

Your username is your six-digit student ID number (i.e. student number=123456; AVUHSD Google username=123456)

Your e-mail address= 123456@students.avhsd.org

Your default password is first name initial + last name initial + student ID number (i.e. Jack Rabbit  = jr123456)

2013 Hall of Fame

Antelope Valley High School is seeking nominations for the 2013 Hall of Fame.  Nomination categories are:  Athletics, Business, Community Service, Education, Faculty, Government Service, Science, Visual & Performing Arts, and Journalism. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 17, 2013.  The Induction Ceremony will be held prior to the Homecoming pre-game festivities on October 11, 2013. We look forward to receiving your nominations!

Band Spring Finale Concert is this Thursday!

The band program is presenting its Spring Finale Concert this Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the large gym.  Featured performers include the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Saxophone Quartet,  and numerous small ensembles and soloists.  Mr. Adriano,  band director at Piute Middle School,  will guest conduct the band on one piece!

Summer School Information!

Attention current Lope students and incoming 9th Grade Lopes!!

Summer School Student Applications for Summer School 2013 will be available starting Friday, April 26, 2013, in the AVHS Guidance Office. Current students please pick up your application packets before school, snack, lunch, and after school only. Please do not come during class time. Incoming 9th Grade Lopes may come during office hours from 7:15am until 3:30pm.

AVHS Summer School 2013 will be held July 1st through July 26th and will run Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Summer School is available for students needing to make up credits as well as a limited amount of courses for enrichment.

Initial registration for Summer School is open through May 24, 2013. Late registrations will be taken through June 21, 2013, pending a possible wait list for any full classes. You are encouraged to complete your Summer School applications by May 24, 2013 to best ensure enrollment. Classes are filled on a first come-first served basis.

The Second Semester Finals Schedule is available now!

Finals begin on May 29, 2013.

Teachers with 0 or 7th period should notify their students as to which date their respective final will be offered.
